Bay of Island College presents: ToiTu



Bay of Islands College Arts Faculty has identified a week to especially celebrate the Arts, starting on Monday April the 3rd through to Friday April the 7th. On Thursday the 6th of April there will an OPEN PUBLIC #ToiTU performance night showcasing students from Music, Drama, and Kapa Haka.

The #ToiTU PUBLIC Performance night will also star the following three guest artists:

  • Kawiti Waetford – Opera Baritone singer (recently returned home from London)
  • James Webster – Taonga Puoro, Puppetry, Ta Moko, Sculpture (Resides in Coromandel)
  • Nancy Wijohn – Independent Choreographer, Core dancer for Atamira (Resides in Auckland)

The concept comes from The Arts Faculty which consists of – Davina Duke Visual Arts, Michele Wilson Performing Arts, and Rose Loveridge Music.

#ToiTU – Is an exaltation of the greatness expressed in Art. Toi is also about the creative legacies. It is a concept of enduring artistic excellence.

Tickets for the public performance are available from the school office now and also from The Kings Theatre in Kawakawa.
