Year 9

Being a Year 9 student is a bridge from Year 8 into college years.   It is an exciting time for any young person and we have a lot of student services in place to help support student’s transition.

Please organise your child’s enrolment as soon as possible either by coming into the school office or contacting the Office Manager Debbie Russell.    You will need to bring in their last school report and their birth certificate.    Bay of Islands College personnel will consult with your child’s previous school to assist in your child’s placement.

Information on uniform, stationery, attendance and leave passes, security and the student code of conduct reflect the college’s expectations of its students.   The stationery list for Year 9 is to be used as a guide only as there may be some subject changes.

Yr 9 students will be working with Chromebooks through the Manaiakalani Trust.  The curriculum is delivered digitally at Year 9 level.  Please click on the link below to see introduction letter explaining digital learning at Bay of Islands College, please also see the link for the purchase of a Chromebook for 2020 and payment options available to you.  If you have any questions please email the Year 9 Dean (click on name), Mr Andrew Smith
